Life Coaching

I am a Certified Professional Life Coach specializing in health and wellness with graduate‑level counseling training and more than 20 years of experience supporting individuals through complex challenges. My approach blends resilience, mindset, and practical behavior changes to help people understand what’s driving their struggles and make sustainable improvements in daily life. I offer general life/health coaching, as well as dystonia specific coaching.

Together, we look at what’s working, what isn’t, and what needs to change. From there, we set clear goals and break them down into doable steps you can apply right away. Because life is interconnected, our work may touch on health, work, relationships, habits, mindset, or daily routines – whatever most influences your goals. Please check out two featured articles on my work in DatingAdvice.com and DatingNews.com. Although these are dating/relationship sites, the articles give an overview of all the different types of work I do, healthy relationships being one of them.

I have had the privilege of working with clients age 10 to 85 across the United States and internationally, including Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Portugal, South Africa, Lebanon, Spain, Switzerland, the UK, and China. I have also spoken throughout the United States at symposiums, as well as the keynote speaker for Canada’s first ever national dystonia symposium.

Specialized coaching for people with dystonia
In addition to general coaching, I work specifically with individuals living with dystonia — a condition I’ve lived with since 2001. My role is non‑medical support that complements clinical care by focusing on lifestyle adaptation, stress reduction, and mindset. I provide non-medical support to manage the physical, emotional, and social challenges of living with this condition. While neurologists, physical therapists and other health care professionals focus on clinical treatment, my work centers on practical tools for calming the nervous system, improving routines like sleep, movement, and pacing, and making day‑to‑day life feel more manageable. I help you figure out what’s adding to your symptoms, and then we build simple routines and practical strategies that that help you feel more in control.

Personalized Retraining: I help you create individualized daily steps and exercises to improve your motor control.
Emotional & Mental Support: I provide strategies to manage the inner voice of anxiety, depression, fear, isolation, and despair, helping you navigate the rollercoaster of symptoms.
Navigational Guidance: I help you understand the condition, manage social or work situations, and find the right medical specialists.
Mind-Body Techniques: I incorporate nervous system regulation to reduce the fight, flight, freeze states that can trigger symptoms.
Advocacy & Community: I act as an advocate for you, sharing information to reduce the isolation and stigma that often come with dystonia.
Daily Living: We address lifestyle adjustments, vocational challenges, and chronic pain management.

How Coaching Works
We start with a free introductory call to discuss your history, challenges, and goals. Depending on the package you choose, you’ll have one to four sessions per month. Each session is focused, strategic, and tailored to your needs.

Between sessions, you receive 24/7 email and text support – because real change happens in the moments between our conversations, and you shouldn’t have to navigate those moments alone.

The real challenge for most people is taking consistent action. My coaching helps you:
– Cut through confusing, conflicting health information
– Stay accountable and motivated
– Build habits that actually stick
– Feel supported, understood, and empowered

Coaching is a collaborative, transformative process designed to help you gain clarity, build confidence, and create a healthier, more fulfilling life. Seeking help isn’t weakness – it’s wisdom. It’s the moment you decide you deserve better. If you’re ready to take the next step, contact me today for a free 30 minute consult.
