Review – Royal Gold Pain and Muscle Relaxation Lotion
As you may have read before, for many years I have been using pain lotions made by a company called Resonant Botanicals for pain related to my dystonia, a neurologic movement disorder. I recently tried their newest lotion called Royal Gold, which to me is a step up from Royal. That is saying a lot because Royal is a great product I use all the time. Before I share my experience using Royal Gold, here is what it says on their website. Royal Gold is a hemp oil-powered, non-menthol recovery lotion developed with a veteran neuromuscular massage therapist. When I first got the Royal Gold lotion, I only used it sporadically. My primary pain area is my back, so unless I have someone to apply it for me, it is hard to use. I wasn’t getting massages on a regular basis like usual, so I didn’t use it like I normally would. The few times I tried, I didn’t notice a difference from the other lotions I mentioned above that I like. I wasn’t even sure it would be worth writing a review. Then I hit a rough period of pain and inflammation in my upper traps (shoulder and neck) and it was a game changer!
I applied it to the top of my shoulder one night when the pain got really bad before bed while I was watching TV. The next morning there was a very noticeable improvement. I then put it on a couple times a day for 2 days in a row and there was a significant difference in pain reduction and stiffness. I can’t say for certain if it was the lotion entirely, but I then applied it again a few other evenings to the same area before bed and had similar relief in the morning.
So, my initial use of the Royal Gold on my back after a massage wasn’t mind-blowing, but the times I applied it to my shoulders and neck before bed was definitely different. I plan to get my regular massages again where the lotion can be applied afterwards. I can’t afford a professional massage, so I get them from my girlfriend who does a great job. If you have a partner or friend that can give you back rubs if it feels good for you, take advantage of this because for many people it can help relax the muscles as well as the mind.
I expect to get the same relief for my back issues as I did with my shoulders when I begin using the lotion on a more regular basis. Speaking of my girlfriend, she has arthritic shoulders that flare up on occasion. When I applied Royal Gold to them in the evening before bed on several occasions, she woke up with no pain, so she has had similar results as me.
